Zuhr begins during noon time. In a hadith reported by Abdullah b. Umar (r.a.), the Prophet (pbuh) says, “A person who misses the afternoon prayer is like a person whose family and property have been destroyed.” (Jamiu’l Ahadith)
Asr starts during afternoon.
The time for the Maghrib begins when the sun has completely set.
The time for the Isha, begins when the red of sunset twilight leaves the sky.
